Information You Submit
Terms Entered in Search Tools
When a visitor enters a name, place, or other term in a search box, that request is sent to the third-party company that operates the tool. Caldwell Parish Released Inmates does not store or log those search terms on its own systems. The provider's policy governs the information after submission.
Emails and Contact Messages
If a visitor sends an email or contact-form message, we retain the message and supplied contact details as needed to prepare a response. We do not disclose that correspondence outside the organization unless disclosure is required by law or a valid legal process.
Automatically Collected Details
Routine technical data may be recorded when a page loads. This helps operate and assess the resource. The data can include:
- the internet protocol address used for the visit;
- browser name and version;
- device category and operating system;
- pages viewed and approximate time spent on them;
- the referring website, when one is supplied;
- the date and time of each request.
Cookie Controls
Cookies help measure how visitors move through the pages and may support site or advertising functions. A browser can reject or delete cookies through its settings. Blocking them may cause some features to work differently or not retain expected preferences.
Reasons We Use Data
Collected information is used only for operating, understanding, and supporting the resource. Common uses include:
- keeping pages available and responsive;
- sending a search request to the selected partner service;
- measuring which Caldwell Parish topics visitors find useful;
- detecting errors, misuse, or other technical problems;
- presenting advertising that may reflect a visitor's interests.
Privacy on Linked Services
Pages may link to Caldwell Parish release records, sheriff and facility contacts, Louisiana corrections tools, federal locators, government portals, and outside search providers. Once a visitor follows a link, the receiving service controls its own collection and use. Its privacy notice should be reviewed separately.
Some advertising companies may use technology on their own systems to follow activity across websites and tailor advertisements. That tracking is performed under the advertising company's practices, not as a database maintained by Caldwell Parish Released Inmates.
Parties That May Receive Data
We do not sell personal information. Limited data may be provided or transmitted to:
- search partners that process submitted queries;
- analytics providers that measure site use;
- advertising networks that deliver or assess ads;
- law-enforcement agencies or other government bodies when required by a valid order or legal duty.
Security Measures and Limits
Reasonable, commonly used safeguards are applied to information under our control. No website, network, storage service, or internet transmission can be guaranteed completely secure. We therefore cannot promise that a breach, loss, unauthorized access, or misuse will never occur.
Visitors Younger Than Eighteen
This resource is intended for adults. We do not knowingly request or collect personal information from anyone under 18. A parent or guardian who believes a minor submitted information may use the Contact Us page to request review and deletion.
Your Privacy Choices
Subject to applicable law and verification, a visitor may ask to:
- receive a copy of personal information held about them;
- correct information that is inaccurate;
- delete personal information where erasure applies;
- opt out of certain processing where that choice is legally available.
Changes to This Notice
We may revise this privacy notice as practices, services, or legal duties change. A revised version will be posted on this page with a new effective date, and continued use after posting is governed by the updated notice.
